RAFFLE RULES – Peterborough Humane Society Ruff’le Raffle Prize and 50/50 Draw
1. Peterborough Humane Society has established and will maintain rules to govern the conduct of the draw and awarding of the prize.
2. Raffle tickets shall not be sold to a person less than 18 years of age.
3. Peterborough Humane Society’s raffle ticket sellers will advise adult ticket buyers not to write the name of a person under 18 years of age on the ticket.
4. Owners and/or employees of Raffle Nexus will not be eligible to purchase tickets.
5. All Peterborough Humane Society Board members, Staff and family members living with them will not be eligible to win prizes in the lottery.
6. All prize draws will be administered remotely by Peterborough Humane Society, 1999 Technology Drive, Peterborough, ON K9J 6X7.
7. For the 50/50 early bird prize, one number will be drawn using a Random Number Generator on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at 1:05 pm EST. The winner will receive $500.
8. For the 50/50 grand prize, one number will be drawn using a Random Number Generator on Wednesday, May 14, 2024 at 1:05 pm EST.
9. For the Raffle prize, one number will be drawn using a Random Number Generator on Wednesday, May 14, 2024 at 1:05 pm EST. The winner will receive one, $5,000 travel agency gift certificate.
10. If a prize winner cannot be contacted, Peterborough Humane Society will secure the unclaimed prize for a period of 6 months from the draw date. If at that time the prize has still not been claimed, the prize will be used as gaming proceeds for Peterborough Humane Society upon AGCO approval.
11. If a winning ticket has more than one name affiliated with it, Peterborough Humane Society shall award the prize to only one of the individuals identified on the ticket, and that the licensed charity and the AGCO are not responsible for any disputes which may arise between the different individuals whose names appear on the ticket stub.

TICKET REQUIREMENTS AND SALES
1. Raffle tickets will be available for $15 each, or 3 tickets for $40, or 6 tickets for $60, or 9 tickets for $80, or 15 tickets for $100.
2. 50/50 tickets will be available for 3 tickets for $5, or 10 tickets for $10, or 25 tickets for $20, or 50 tickets for $35, or 100 tickets for $50.
3. The winner of the Raffle ticket will be awarded one, $5,000 travel agency gift certificate.
4. The winner of the 50/50 early bird prize will win $500.
5. The grand prize winner of the 50/50 will be awarded 50% of all 50/50 ticket proceeds.
6. Raffle tickets will be sold online only through Raffle Nexus with payments via credit card and cash being accepted.
7. No person shall be obligated to purchase raffle tickets as a condition of registration for a licensed charity’s programs or services.
8. Tickets shall be delivered via email to the purchaser.
9. Winners will be announced via Peterborough Humane Society’s social media & email.
10. Peterborough Humane Society will arrange the transfer of the prize to the winner.
RAFFLE POLICIES
1. Peterborough Humane Society will operate the raffle according to the Criminal Code of Canada, the AGCO rules and policies established under the legislation, including these terms and conditions.
2. Peterborough Humane Society, our 50/50 lottery and Ruff’le raffle adheres to all federal and provincial laws.
3. Any approved amendments that affect the awarding of prizes will result in immediate notification to ticket holders.
